Initially he worked in the medical and lab equipment industries, then spent seven years at the consultancy IDEO, as an engineer and project manager. Since turning freelance in 2002 he has run projects in fields as diverse as medical technology; business electronics; FMCG and toys.
Patrick has the skills and resources to devise and develop product concepts, turn them into prototype or production CAD databases and manage the process of implementation with vendors.
He collaborates with a network of other design professionals, (also mainly ex-IDEO), who provide specialist skills, such as industrial design, electronics, or model making.
